Introduction
For the past 15 years, I have been fortunate to travel and explore diverse regions across India and around the world. Through these journeys, I have gained a deep understanding of the profound impact tourism has on the environment. It has become increasingly evident to me that unless we actively embrace and promote sustainable tourism, the future of our planet is at great risk.
This realisation has inspired me to launch Bhutan as the centre piece of my travel adventure.
Bhutan, a tiny, tranquil kingdom nestled in the lap of the Himalayas, often slips under the radar for many travellers. Its size and remote location make it easy to overlook, but to do so would be a grave mistake-especially for anyone with a passion for unique and meaningful travel. Bhutan isn’t just another destination; it’s a revelation.
Did you know that Bhutan is the only country in the world that is carbon negative? Yes, you heard that right-it produces more oxygen than it consumes. Bhutan has set an example in sustainable environmental stewardship. This commitment is woven into the fabric of its culture, its policies, and most inspiringly, the daily lives of its people.
The kingdom of Bhutan is known for its culture, architecture and archery, but in many ways, it has remained a mystery until half a century ago. As you explore the country, you’ll find stories and traditions of this mystical land are as captivating as its landscapes.
