Enjoy a river rafting on the Zanskar River (Chilling to Nimoo stretch), which offers dramatic canyon landscapes and is one of the most scenic rafting routes in Ladakh.
Continue towards the Alchi Monastery which is one of the oldest in Ladakh famous for its Kashmiri style murals. This is very different from the other monasteries in Ladakh. Then proceed back to Leh
Overnight stay in Grand Khasdan premium
Day 3 — 12th July
Day 3 – Phyang Tsedup Festival
After a day of movement and energy along the river, today takes you deeper into Ladakh’s spiritual and visual heart.
An early start brings you once again into the stark, cinematic landscapes of Sham Valley, but this time the destination is far more surreal.
As you approach, the terrain begins to change, eroded mountains, unusual formations, and a landscape that feels almost otherworldly.
At the monastery, you step into the Phyang festival at the Phyang monastery.
This is not a staged performance.
It is a living tradition.
Monks, dressed in elaborate masks and robes, perform Cham dances : slow, deliberate movements that represent the triumph of good over evil. The courtyard fills with rhythm, colour, and a quiet intensity that is hard to describe but deeply felt.
Unlike larger festivals, this one allows you to pause, observe, and absorb. You are not just watching, you are present within it.
As the day unfolds, you begin to understand Ladakh not just as a destination, but as a culture shaped by belief, rhythm, and time.
You return to Leh by evening, quieter than you left carrying something intangible with you.
Please note this is a tentative date as the date keeps changing as per the Tibetan calender. We will try our best to accommodate it in the itinerary.
Overnight Stay : Grand Khasdan Premium
Day 4 — 13th July
Day 4 – Into Nubra Valley (Approx 4 to 5 hours)
The journey to Nubra takes you across high mountain passes that crossed to Khardungla and into a landscape that constantly surprises. Stark mountains give way to sand dunes, and suddenly, Ladakh feels like a desert. At Diskit, a towering Buddha looks over the valley, and in Hunder, the dunes stretch endlessly under the sky. It’s a day of contrasts and wonder.
Optional Double Hump Camel Safari
Overnight Stay : La Shayok Resort
Day 5 — 14th July
Day 5 – Turtuk, the hidden village
Today you travel to Turtuk, a village that feels like a different world altogether. Once part of Pakistan, it still carries a distinct Balti culture. Walking through its narrow lanes, orchards, and homes, you sense a life untouched by time. This is Ladakh beyond the usual quiet, warm, and deeply authentic local cuisine and experience apricot orchards.
Overnight Stay : La Shayok Resort
Day 6 — 15th July
Day 6 – Hunder to Pangong Lake
The drive to Pangong is as dramatic as the destination itself. Following the Shyok River, the landscape unfolds in layers of mountains and valleys until finally, the lake appears, vast, blue, and ever-changing. As the sun begins to set, Pangong transforms into a canvas of shifting colors. It is a moment of stillness that stays with you.
Overnight : Thangjing Resort Pangong
Day 7 — 16th July
Day 7 – Pangong Lake to Leh | Thiksey Monastery | Shanti Stupa
After breakfast drive back to Leh.
On the way visit Thiksey Monastery, one of the most beautiful monasteries in Ladakh, known for its impressive architecture and large Maitreya Buddha statue.
In the evening visit Shanti Stupa, which offers panoramic views over Leh town and the surrounding mountains, especially beautiful at sunset. Overnight stay in Leh.
Overnight Stay : Grand Khasdan Premium
Day 8 — 17th July
Day 8 – Departure from Leh
After breakfast transfer to Leh airport for your onward journey.

Good To Know Before You Go
- Altitude & Acclimatization
- Leh is located at an altitude of approximately 3,500 metres (11,500 ft). It is important to take it easy on the first day and allow your body time to acclimatize. Avoid strenuous activity and drink plenty of water.
- Stay Hydrated
The high-altitude air is very dry. Drinking water regularly helps prevent headaches and fatigue. - Pace Yourself
Walk slowly, avoid running or climbing stairs too quickly, especially on the first couple of days. - Sun Protection
The sun is strong in Ladakh due to the altitude. Carry sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat to protect yourself from the sun. - Layered Clothing
Even in summer months like June and July, temperatures can vary widely. Days are pleasant but evenings and nights can be chilly, especially near Pangong Lake. Carry light woollens and a windproof jacket. - Connectivity
Mobile networks in Ladakh are limited. Postpaid connections (Airtel, Jio, BSNL) work best. Prepaid SIM cards from outside Ladakh generally do not work. - Cash Availability
ATMs are available in Leh but limited in remote areas like Nubra and Pangong. It is advisable to carry some cash for small purchases and personal expenses. - Respect Local Culture
Ladakh has a deeply spiritual Buddhist culture. When visiting monasteries or villages, dress modestly and respect local customs. - Weather & Roads
Mountain travel is subject to weather and road conditions. Occasional changes in the itinerary may occur due to safety or road closures.
